FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI ESENSIAL DI PUSKESMAS BOTTENG KECAMATAN SIMBORO KABUPATEN MAMUJU TAHUN 2016
Hypertension is a multifactorial disease that arises because of the interaction of various factors, There are several factors causing hypertension consisting of factors that cannot be modified including genetic factors, age, genitalia, and ethnicity. While modifiable factors include stress, and obesity.
This research was carried out at the Botteng Community Health Center, Simboro District, Mamuju Regency from 12 October to 12 November 2016. By using a descriptive analytic method using a cross sectional study design with a sample of 65 patients who were treated at the Botteng Community Health Center during the study and in accordance with the inclusion criteria.
Data obtained by interviewing techniques using questionnaires. Using the Fisher Exact Test Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Data analysis was performed by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis on the SPSS version 18.0 program. The results showed that: there was no relationship between age and incidence of essential hypertension in Botteng Health Center with a value of p = 0.666> α = 0.05. There is a correlation between smoking habits and the incidence of essential hypertension in Botteng Health Center with a value of p = 0.015 <α = 0.05. There is a correlation between high sodium consumption and the incidence of essential hypertension in Botteng Health Center with a value of P = 0.014 <α = 0.05. And there is a relationship between stress and the incidence of essential hypertension in Botteng Health Center with a value of P = 0.001 <α = 0.05
Based on the results of these studies it is recommended for patients to be more active in seeking information in order to increase knowledge in terms of choosing a good lifestyle,balanced diet and avoid stress, to improve health to prevent the occurrence of essential hypertension
